Quick answer
How much tax will I pay on my salary in Pakistan (2025–26)?
Salary up to Rs 600,000 a year is tax-free. Above that, filer slabs run 5% to 35%: a Rs 100,000 monthly salary (Rs 1.2M a year) owes about Rs 30,000 for the year — roughly Rs 2,500 a month. Non-filers face higher slabs up to 45%. Enter your salary below for the exact figure.

For tax year 2026, filers pay nothing on the first Rs 600,000 a year, 5% on the next Rs 600,000, then 15%, 25%, 30% and 35% slabs (plus fixed amounts) as income crosses Rs 1.2M, Rs 2.2M, Rs 3.2M and Rs 4.1M. Employers deduct the tax monthly at source.
Rs 100,000 a month is Rs 1.2 million a year, which falls in the 5% slab: about Rs 30,000 in annual tax — roughly Rs 2,500 a month — for a filer. A non-filer in the same slab pays 10%, around Rs 60,000. The calculator shows your exact take-home.
Foreign-currency IT and IT-enabled export income falls under Section 154A: banks withhold a final tax of 0.25% of receipts if you are PSEB-registered, or 1% if not (0.50% and 2% respectively for non-filers). Being a final tax, no further income tax is due on that income if you stay compliant.
A filer appears on FBR's Active Taxpayer List after filing a return. Non-filers face punitive withholding: salary slabs reaching 45% instead of 35%, 30% instead of 15% on savings profit and dividends, and double capital-gains rates. The calculator's filer tab quantifies exactly what filing saves you each year.
For filers, gains on listed securities are taxed at 15% when held under a year and 12.5% beyond a year; non-filers pay 30% and 25%. Dividends are withheld at 15% for filers and 30% for non-filers. The capital-gains tab computes your net liability from your actual trades.
