Data Sources & Update Cadence
Honest version first: we do not pay for commercial market-data licenses. Every number on this site comes from official public pages (SBP, FBR, CDNS, PSX, MUFAP), free API tiers (CoinGecko, IMF, World Bank, FRED, Finnhub) or figures we research and verify by hand. That keeps the platform free — but it also means some feeds are delayed, some fail and fall back to labeled reference values, and hand-verified datasets can age between checks. The tables below say exactly which is which.
Spot a number that is wrong or stale? Tell us via /contact — data corrections are treated as bugs and prioritized accordingly.

When a live feed is down, surfaces show a freshness badge with the last-good timestamp instead of pretending the data is live. The Shariah screening tool currently runs on labeled sample data — treat it as a demonstration, not a screening service.
Hand-verified reference datasets
These are baked into the site and re-checked against their official sources. Each has a staleness budget enforced by our test suite — if a dataset outlives its budget, the build fails until someone re-verifies it.

License posture for all reference data: official public information, used for education with attribution. Figures marked approximate in the tools are estimates where the official source does not publish a precise number.
