Forex Trading Scams
Forex Trading Scams
Forex (foreign exchange) trading has been aggressively marketed to young Pakistanis as a path to quick wealth. Social media is flooded with "forex traders" flaunting luxury lifestyles funded by their "trading profits." The reality is far less glamorous — most retail forex traders lose money, and many of the platforms and signal groups targeting Pakistanis are outright scams.
This chapter will expose the most common forex scams in Pakistan: unlicensed offshore brokers that manipulate prices, paid signal groups that provide worthless trade recommendations, fake account screenshots showing fabricated profits, and "managed account" schemes where someone trades on your behalf (and eventually disappears with your money). You will learn what legitimate forex trading looks like versus the scam version, and why the SBP has warned against unauthorized forex trading platforms.
Understanding this space is critical for young professionals who are bombarded daily with forex trading advertisements on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
This chapter is coming soon. Full content covering forex scam mechanics, SBP regulations, and how to distinguish legitimate platforms from fraudulent ones will be published shortly.
