Federal cabinet approved the National AI Policy 2025 on 30 July 2025. Unlike previous paper exercises, the financing structure is real and the training pipeline is already live as of early 2026.

Most observers expected another paper exercise. Headline targets: train 1M AI professionals by 2030, 10k trainers by 2027, and reach 90% public AI awareness by 2026.
